I am 19 years old, and my father just bought a glock 19. I want to be able to take it to and from the range for my firearms class but I also want to be in LE so I dont want to get a felony. Can somone please CLEARLY explain the law for me on how I can carry the glock? Can I open carry where it is allowed? Am i not allowed to possess it at all because I am under 21? I hear most people say they dont know so please somone help. I have a holster that goes on the belt and I can carry it? The gun is in my fathers name and I have the same last name as him. I can carry it in plain view of the public anywhere its legally allowed (not on k-12 school grounds, churches etc.) on my hip? Are you sure I hope a cop in VA responds to this. ONE felony RUINS my career hopes at becoming in LE. Can I drive while OC in VA? All of this is legal? I just wan't to be 100% sure. Police departments are fogiving, but ALL have I know of have a zero tolerance on felonies. Thanks for your input and only apply if you know for 100% please. Thanks all. Be as specific as possible.
