Jury Convicts Salt Lake Man of Murdering Wife

Jury Convicts Salt Lake Man of Murdering Wife
October 5th, 2007 @ 10:43am
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A jury of five women and three men took less than two hours yesterday to convict a Salt Lake City man of murder for killing his wife.
Stephen James Walker's trial began Tuesday. Accused of shooting his wife Cassandra Bryan during a drunken fight in April 2006, the 57-year-old Walker could now spend the rest of his life in prison.
Defense attorneys said Walker, a Vietnam veteran, suffers from post-traumatic stress and debilitating depression.
They didn't deny Walker shot his wife, but called him a troubled man who needed help and didn't intend to kill Bryan.
They asked jurors to find Walker guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter, which carries a lighter sentence.
Prosecutors said the shooting was not mistake. Walker fired 15 rounds into his wife's body and left her dead on the kitchen floor.

Give them nothing. ONE American citizen abused their right to bear arms and now they'll pay the consequences. The problem is already solved.
