I already posted this on the XDtalk forum and decided to post it here too.

I was just looking for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act so I could reference it on another forum and as I read the beginning of the law I noticed this;

SEC. 2. FINDINGS; PURPOSES.

(a) FINDINGS.—Congress finds the following:

(1) The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

(2) The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the rights of individuals, including those who are not members of a militia or engaged in military service or training, to keep and bear arms.

This should be enough to make the SCOTUS decision pretty easy in reference to the DC Gun Ban appeal.

I would expect that the lawyers involved are lready aware of this, but it might be worth the time to shoot them an email.

With 200 years of documents to sift through, it would be easy to miss something like this.
