I know the NOPD will harrass you for OCing downtown, or anywhere in Orleans Parish, but with the rising crime rates, even in broad daylight, in Jefferson Parish, and on the West Bank, I was wondering how bad the LEOs are about harrassing those that OC. I just turned 21 and wish to OC till my CC permit goes through, and will probably OC more often than not.
Also, I keep hearing stories about people being asked if they are an LEO, then if they are military. I can see people associating military with guns but why would it matter? Would an LEO give you less grief if you are military (which I am)? I don't think it should matter since it's my right, but I don't know of any law stating that military are allowed to carry whenever and wherever. People seem to think so though. If I were asked I wouldn't lie, but I would tell them that it doesn't matter, and that they could do the same thing.
