If you do happened to get pulled over, move the weapon into the passenger seat BEFORE THE LEO EXITS THEIR VEHICLE. You don't want to have the gun in your hand while the LEO can see you...bad ju-ju.
That's exactly what worries me: having a cop see me unholstering after he pulls me me over. If I was a LEO, and thought I saw someone unholstering during a stop, they'd have a shotgun stuck in their ear in a heartbeat. I do drive a lifted SUV with a spare tire on the back covering up a lot of the window though, so I doubt a cop in a crown vic would be able to see it.

Edited to add: Thanks for the death threat offer, but I think I'll pass! I'm just going to do my part to try to get MD to take off the blindfold.

lol I dunno why everyone is so concerned about that, really. The few times that I've gotten pulled over, I've turned off my radio, turned the dome light on, retrieved my wallet, and still had to wait for the cop to get out of his car and walk up. I could have unholstered, unloaded and locked it in a box before he saw anything. The minute you see lights you can use one hand to move the gun from your hip to the seat. There's no way the copwould see you do that, let alone thinkyou were handling a weapon.

Besides, why are you guys planning on getting pulled over anyway?

You also have to consider accesability while in the car. How easy is it to get to you CC piece when you are seated with a seatbelt on? Probably pretty hard to get to let alone get out of the holster. The car holster option allows you to have quick easy access to your firearm if/when you need it. Transfering back and forth really isn't a big deal until you start getting in and out in and out like every five min.

I was going to go the cheapy route and velcro my XDGEAR holster to my center console. Makes the gun accesable AND you can just pull it off and toss it under the seat if it is that much of a concern.
