Yes. Most, if not all, northern VA counties are required to have emissions inspections done every 3 years.

Interesting. I just verified that this is correct. This begs the question, in the past, how I was able to renew my license for two years, yet on the next registration, I could specify another year without the emissions inspection because it was due the following year.

Was this a recent change or had it always been this way?
