I was watching FOX new out of Richmond tonight and they were talking about an apartment of a VT student that was "Peppered with bullets (said about 5 times)" The picture on the screen showed a single shot pattern of bird shot on the wall and that was all. But they sure did like to stress the point on how this residence fell under gun fire and was peppered with bullets. Anybody else catch this so called piece of factual news?

[suP]Shots fired into apartment of Virginia Tech's 'Macho' Harris[/suP]
[suP]From NBC12 News[/suP]

[suP]Virginia Tech cornerback Victor Harris says he doesn't think shots fired into his apartment over the weekend were meant for him.[/suP]

[suP]The Richmond native told reporters after practice yesterday that he thought the shots were random, and that he didn't have any enemies.[/suP]

[suP]Three Tech students were in the off-campus apartment just before 4 a.m. Sunday when it was hit with at least two gunshots, but police say no one was injured. A sliding glass patio door was shot out and there were bullet holes in the wall and ceiling.[/suP]

[suP]Officers recovered evidence that seven shots were fired from a 9 millimeter handgun - two of them into the apartment.[/suP]

[suP]Police say no one has been arrested for the shooting, but they say they’re looking into whether the incident is related to several fights that broke out earlier that day.[/suP]

[suP]Blacksburg police also say they are beefing up patrols around the Chasewood Downs apartment complex. Campus police have not said if they plan extra security at upcoming football games.[/suP]
