CANTON - A Canton man told police he was cleaning at Wendy’s restaurant early Tuesday when two men attacked him, one of them with a fire extinguisher.

The man said he was cleaning at the restaurant at 1701 Tuscarawas St. W about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday when two men entered the store demanding money.

Canton Police reports said an older man sprayed him with a fire extinguisher and, when the victim ran for the door, a younger man punched him in the chest.

The robbers made off with his keys and jacket, which was worth about $70, the reports said.

No injuries were listed on the reports.

Both men were described as white and about 150 pounds. One was in his 40s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wearing a blue jeans jacket. The other was about 18 or 19 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and wearing a brown jacket.
