It's a house bill. Send your letter to your Delegate.

Not much point for me. Both my Senator and Delegate are completely selfish politicians on gun-control. You all have fun. I'll just have to cheer for the team on this one.

Hee, hee. Maybe I can lie to them. Ask them to support the license plates for VCDL, Victims Closure and Defense League, a league of concerned voters working hard on the rights of potential crime victims and strengthening laws to protect and defendvictims against criminals.

Hmmm. I wonder. Would that work?

Of course, an eagle-eyed staffer would catch it. I'd probably get a letter back accusing me of deception. Then I'd have to writeback something to the effect of the pot calling the kettle black.

So are mine.

I wrote Ms. Amundson:

I write requesting you lend your support to HB 79, authorizing creation of a Virginia license plate for members and supporters of the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL).

Your stated position is that you don't support many of the positions of the VCDL. I understand that. However, this bill permits those who do support those positions to make that support known. Like identifying support to other groups - sororities, not-for-profits, and others - this is an issue of freedom of speech.

Please let me know what you plan to do.

Let her come out against freedom of speech.
