Police seek three men in LSU shootingBATON ROUGE, La., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Police were searching Friday for three men seen leaving the area where two Louisiana State University students were shot to death.
The doctoral students from India were killed Thursday in student apartments on the LSU campus, The Advocate in Baton Rouge reported.
The two male students "appeared to be targeted for reasons unknown," LSU Chancellor Sean O'Keefe said during a news conference Friday. "This does not appear to be a random event."
The task force formed to investigate the slayings said three young, black males were seen getting into a car that may have been occupied by a fourth person, the newspaper said. The car was seen leaving the complex with its lights off.
A memorial service for the victims was scheduled for Thursday on the LSU campus. The university set up a support fund for the families of the victims.
After learning of the incident, university officials sent out an emergency text message to students, faculty and university employees who registered their cell phones with the university's emergency text-message system, O'Keefe said. Officials also sent out a broadcast e-mail to people at LSU and posted a message on the LSU Web site.

Didn't the BG know that the school was a gun free zone. The BGs will claim that they did not know that you are not allowed to kill people in a gun free zone. Isn't that an affirmative defense?
