The process is rather straight forward. A campaign's boxes are unsealed. It is the campaign's responsibility to divide them according to district. The verifiers (about 40 folks) will then begin to count valid signatures, finish their count, and then reseal the boxes. They will then move to the next campaign. Simple, right?

YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG. Let me repeat, it is the duty of each campaign to divide the petitions into the eleven districts. Some numbnut failed to organize them according to the 11 districts--even after that person was TOLD THAT THIS SHOULD BE DONE.

11 good men and women are needed to volunteer to help divide that 2.5 foot stack. This means 11 people at the SBE by no later than 9:00 a.m. They will need each of you to know the counties within a particular district. They will divide the petitions as fast as possible by calling out the county or the district.

DATE: Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 (Tomorrow)
TIME: 9:00 a.m.

Ron Paul is on the ballot in Virginia!!
December 17, 2007

Congratulations! As of 2:00 PM ET today, Ron Paul was certified to be on the ballot for the Republican presidential primary in Virginia.

The Republican Party HQ of Virginia determined that he had enough signatures to be on the ballot. Actually, their staff had to stop counting after the first box of petitions because there were just too many petitions to count.

Thank you to all our volunteers for your hard work in getting Congressman Ron Paul on the ballot. You made this happen!

Cheers,

Mike McHugh
National Ballot Access Coordinator
