It was great. I was standing at the Towne Center in VA Beach handing out Ron Paul flyers.

Me: Hi have you heard of Ron Paul?
LEO: Sorry I can't that while I'm in uniform. What are you carrying you don't see many people carrying here in Towne Center.
    Me: GLOCK 23.
    LEO:Yea that's a good weapon.
I asked him what they carried and he told me GLOCK 19 which he liked better then the S&Ws they used to carry. He wanted a GLOCK 26 for a backup but it was to small even with the pinky extension. Then he asked me about RP and we talked guns and politics for a bit (said he had been a Libertarian) then he walked away.

It's always great to hear of a proper encounter between a law-abiding citizen and a police officer. Thanks for sharing....

Sounds like he snubbed you in the end just walking away... :P

Good to hear it was a courteous encounter.

Heck yeah - maybe if Arlington had more beaches our LEO's would be more laid-back and useful!

San Diego PD/Miami PDare always hiring, but I think you need to speak spanish.

Your too pale, you would burn.
If you go, let me know the brand of SB you use soI can buy stock.

However, there is always Atlanic City.
If you think like a Statist, act like one, or back some, you've given up on freedom and have gone over to the dark side.
The easiest ex. but probably the most difficult to grasp for gun owners is that fool permission slip so many of you have, especially if you show it off with pride. You should recognize it as an embarrassment, an infringement, a travesty and an affront to a free person.

No, just don't want you to miss out if the sand and surf is what your heart desires.

In N.J. you can gamble too, but please watch out for the needles on the beach.

    Glenn,
I'm glad your first encounter was a non event.

Yeah...and isn't it a sorry state of affairs when a decent citizen has toworry a whole lot more about encountering cops, instead of criminals. [a rhetorical question]
