Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.

You can not bring high-caps mags into the state unless you had them in CA before 1/1/2000. Very few people have waivers to this regulation. Sinceyour destination is California, keep those evil high-cap mags out of CA.

As far as your handgun being legal, it's ok, the consumer safety list onlyapplies to new handgun purchases, not to used purchases or possession.

As far as Greyhound, someone mentioned that it is only policy that firearms are prohibited, this is not true, on a common carrier, they must be checked with the captain or someone similar to that effect, federal law deals with this. Probably the reason people get away with just putting it in your luggage is because one could argue that your traveling under the FOPA.

As far as your portion of your trip in Nevada, if you have a UT permit, you can CCW, if not then just open carry, I've open carried in Clark County before without issue. Check out that open carry flyer for CA, in many areas of the state, you can open carry, but it's so restrictive that it may not be worth it. Also if you plan on camping, you can CCW or OC at your campsite without a license under CA law.
