Hi All,

I'm considering getting my 1911 slide hardchromed, and the frame coated black.

I've been told by the company that I've chosen that all I need to do is remove the barrel, and ship it as machine parts.

It is my understanding that I can ship the slide and any other parts this way.

However I'm concerned that because the frame has a SN on it, it has to be shipped either through a FFL, or specially described as a firearm through the overnight shipping company. (even though it's disassembled, and non functional as a firearm)

The advice I've received has been contradictory on this, so I hope that some may assist me in clearing the muddled situation I'm in.

Best Regards
