Board member Jim Kadison advised me that Senator Martin's bill to make
box cutters a concealed weapon, SB 379, was passed by indefinitely in
subcommittee yesterday. This effectively kills the bill.
Also, Jim reported that SB 222, Senator McDougle's bill to
retroactively take away gun rights from citizens who have not
committed any crime in the decade, or decades, since being convicted
of certain violent crimes as a juvenile was passed out of subcommittee.

ACTION ITEMS:
It is time to get the restaurant ban repeal passed out of the Senate.
We also need to kill the Senate version of the so called "gun show
loophole" (AKA private sale registration scheme) bill.
On the House side we need to get the college carry bill passed and the
House versions of the so called "gun show loophole" (AKA private sale
registration scheme) bill killed.
