I received a response from Del. Bob Marshall with regards to the anti-gun bills introduced for the '08 session. Those in his district have probably received a similar, if not identical response.

Thank you for contacting me regarding HB 1371 as well as HB 592 & 745.

As you may already be aware I am a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment Rights and I certainly would support HB 1371. I also have introduced HB 424 which can be viewed at http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?ses=081&typ=bil&val=hb424. HB 424 would specifically allow faculty members at colleges and universities to carry concealed weapons with a permit to do so.

I also will likely oppose HB 592 and 745 should they come before the full House of Delegates.

I hope that this information is helpful to you. Should you have any further questions or concerns please let me know.

Sincerely,
Delegate Bob Marshall
