Here is what I think I know, please correct me if I am wrong.

    Duty to notify , no
    restaurant- CC and OC OK
bar - no CC but OC OK

What is the charge if you do not see a No gun sign?

Anything special(gun wise) about Louisville or the convention center I should know?

Can LEO demand ID for the lone fact of OC'ing/no reason at all?

I'll be in L-Ville from late Sunday until Wed afternoon. Any locals want to have lunch/dinner/cup of coffee?

VAopencarry, read the thread right below this one, it's not too long but gives a fairly complete rundown of Ky. laws regarding firearms carry. And the commonwealth (well, most call it 'state') has established pre-emption of virtually all city firearms laws.

bars, in KY are a no-go for handguns. Resturaunts that have a bar area are fine to CC, just make sure not to sit near the bar & you'll be fine.

There is no legal penalty for missing a no gun sign in KY. You might be asked to leave, but there is no criminal penalty. Those signs hold no legal weight.
