Delegate Carrico's HB 371, which put's teeth in Virginia's preemption
laws, is going to be heard on Thursday! No more Chet Szymecki-type
arrests!

HB 371 will be heard in the House Militia, Police and Public Safety
subcommittee #2 at 7:30 AM (ugh!).

GOOD NEWS TODAY!

Three anti-gun bills were KILLED in the Senate today. Joel Partridge
(NRA), Roy B. Scherer, and I spoke against these bills. All of the
bills died by a 10 to 5 vote!

SB 32, Senator Locke, bans guns in libraries

SB 33, Senator Locke, bans guns at festivals and fairs (the Chet
Szymecki bill)

SB 300, Senator Whipple, bans guns in government buildings

The following Senators stood up for your rights and should be thanked:

Quayle, Martin, Hanger, Reynolds, Ruff, Cuccinelli, Obenshain,
Herring, Smith, Stuart

The following Senators voted anti-gun:

Lucas, Marsh, Ticer, Puller, Locke

--

CORRECTION

In yesterday's Lobby Day wrap up, I gave the wrong bill number for
Senator Marsh's gun show bill. It should be be SB 109.

If you haven't yet sent an email to kill SB 109, do so now:

SB 109 will be voted on tomorrow around 2 PM in the Senate Courts of
Justice committee. Cross your fingers that Senator Marsh's gun show
bill is killed.

At no point are we flooding them. They have staffers to tally the scores. Do you think that the dark side is worried about sending to many emails to get their point across? I don't. Keep sending those emails. Let your representatives know your position on any topic of concern to you. Be the "Sueeky wheel" and get the grease.

I have gotten responses back from my Delegate that his staffers could not have know about. Information from conversation outside of the staffers.

I don't know if he is telling them to include the information, or if he does it himself.

One of the things I like about my Delegate.
