In particular, there have been studies by antis "proving" that keeping guns for home defense results in more gun deaths/injuries.

I am fairly certain these have been discredited; I'm trying to find the links to the counter studies.

I'd like this to be a go-to thread for arguing with nitwits on other public boards who like to throw phony statistics and studies around.

You'd just pick a good one, and cut and paste the link.

I have some stuff bookmarked but their disorganized at the moment. I bookmarked this link and will try to get them sorted as time permits. If I have anything new I"ll post it up here.
