Just what we need after the VT Shootings. My prayers are with the affected families of the victims. I will only say that I am curious about the security arrangements at the campus, and, I would also like to know if this incident will change the minds of those that do not want students, that are eligible, to have concealed weaponsin the classrooms.

In Illinois, elligible students?

Either we are equal or we are not. Good people ought to be armed where they will, with wits and guns and the truth. NRA KMA$$

Actually, there is NO legal concealed carry in Illinois. But maybe this will change that...probably not, but still.

This must be about 4 or 5 recent victim disarmament zone attacks. When will they learn that gun free school zones only stop the law abiding, not the criminal or the deranged.

I lived in Chicago over half my life (26 years). Just so everyone is clear (just want to be sure), I was referring to places where there are Conceal Carry "programs" in place, and, where Conceal Carry in classrooms for eligible students was being considered. Do I ever think the state of Illinois will wake up when it comes to Conceal Carry (I would sayOpen Carry, but, I think baby steps are appropriate in this situation)? I am an optimistic person. So, I will say that I am hopeful!!

If anything, it'll probably tip it closer to Australia-style Gun Control...

Wecome c45man. They are not even a hop and skip away I think.

The difference between Socialist govt. and a Communistic govt. is that the Socialists don't have all of the guns yet.

My niece used to go to NIU. She recently transfered to another school, but still lives in Dekalb. A friend of hers was supposed to be in that class, but decided to skip class to go buy his girl friend a Valentine's day present.
