Is this meeting open to anyone or members only? Also I want to join the VCDL, is there another way to join than the one suggested on their website?

2. VCDL Meeting in Annandale on Wednesday

VCDL is having its monthly membership meeting this Wednesday, Feb 20,
in
Annandale.

We will discuss what has happened so far this Legislative Session.

As always, the meeting is open to the public, so bring friends, family,
and co-workers!

Fellowship starts at 7:30 PM. The meeting is called to order at 8:00 PM
and adjourns at 9:30 PM.

Afterward we will go to a local restaurant for continued fellowship.

Carrying is legal at the government center where we hold the meeting.
If you plan on carrying at the restaurant afterwards you will need to
open carry, since the restaurant serves alcohol.

Oh, wow, this crept up pretty fast. I'll certainly try to make it to the coffee shop.

BTW, you guys realize there's going to be a full lunar eclipse tomorrow night? I'm not sure exactly what time it will be, but if you see me run out to the parking lot with my binoculars, you'll know why.

Do you suppose that there's some sort of cosmic significance to a VCDL meeting coinciding with a lunar eclipse on the potential eve of the death of the restaurant ban? Could this be an omen? :dude:

Well if you missed the premeeting you missed an ideal LEO encounter.
As I said in the NOVA carry thread, kudos to the Fairfax Officers, they did what I think they should do. Showed up, investigated, saw nothing amiss, and were polite and courteous in explaining what happened. They barely asked any questions except to confirm we were going to the VCDL meeting. I'm proud of my police tonight.
