Just thought I'd say hello, and that I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking for a while, and figured it was about time to join. I'm waiting on a new gun to begin open carrying, but figured I'd say hello. I'm originally from the South Bend area, ( Granger, IN ) but currently at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. I'm a big car guy, but have a couple guns.

Bushmaster AR-15 in M4 Configuration ( 14.5 inch barrel / collapsible stock / detachable carrying handle ) with a Bushnell Trophy Series Red Dot, Vertical Grip, Rock River Arms grip, and front rail.

    I also have a Krag 30/40, M1 Carbine, and a Ruger P89.

Oh yeah, and the car of course...

It looks like I'll be picking up a Sig 229R for open carrying. Was hoping to get some suggestions on holsters. I was thinking about this one, as I'm left handed and need it on my left side. I also don't care too much for leather holsters.

Anyone have experience with these, or suggestions. I don't mind if it's a button release or not. I really need to get over to midwest guns and check a few of these out.

    Welcome Ruiner,

I use a serpa holster everyday. I love it. I carry a service model XD9 in it in the paddle configuration. I think they are a great choice and prices are way down on them.
