Doug Huffmanposted an excellent link, which basically states 3% of the population can turn an election around. Even fewer are needed to get a law passed.

I started this thread hoping for a bit more organization, which would greatly further our cause. I've thrown out some ideas, like the WIKI, some things you might want to say when questioned, and attending a meeting in person where people are making things happen.
There really hasn't been any real cost for any of this. The moderators would know if a WIKI fits in with their current hosting, typing (which you're all very good at) is something you already do, and attending a meeting and doing a bit of legwork costs a bit of gas but gives you some fresh air. Seriously, we're very close to getting enough support from enough people to make things happen. If everyone here gave it a good push, we'd have new laws on the books in about six months, maybe less.
