Custodian: They are fine choices as well. I had a Charter Arms Bulldog in 44spcl. Excellent gun! That's what got me hooked on the 44spcl. Still 44cal, but not the magnum felt recoil. Got tight on $$$ years back and had to regretully had to sell it. I have since bought the Rossi 44spcl as a replacement. Another excellent revolver. I also own a Bersa Thunder in 380. Very comfortable to shoot, nice action and lower felt recoil, this is primarily my wife's gun for use but a very fine shooting pistol. I am very pleased with both.

Never owned any of the North American autos, but if they're as well made as my mini-revolver I would consider one. Is there anyone out there who hasused one who can comment?

well among the pistols I currently own are the Hi-point C9, the Lorcin L380, the Pheonix arms HP22 and a Star model 30 that I'm trying to rebuild from teh ground up. sobasically every gun I own was on the list. I'll say this:

the Hi-point is a champion in my book. it gives me no problems fires when I pull the triger, and does everything its supposed to. i love it, and when I finally get my carry permit in teh next month or so, thats what I'll be carrying.

The Lorcinjams on the last round nearly every time. every other roundgoes through great. my Dad wants to buy it.

I can't testify as to teh Star, as I said it's in the process of being rebiult ( just to see if I can work on a gun... I want to be a gunsmith at some point in the future)

the Pheonix...:cuss:it needwork, tahts all I'm gonna say about it at this time...
