A (Very) Positive Open Carry Experience

So I'm down in Oakland (One of Pittsburgh's Neighborhoods - right where U. Pitt, CMU and Carlow are) with a couple friends going to one of our regular hang outs, "Mad Mex" (Corner of Bates and Atwood), for some Half Price Burritos...

As always, I'm OC'ing, and when we go to sit down, a woman comes bustling up to the table looking for her hat. Now, Mad Mex is a bar, and it's dark, so I whip out my flashlight and shine it around so she can find her hat - at the same time I do this, I notice she's staring at my sidearm.

My first thought (And both of my friend's) is "Oh shit, she's gonna make a big deal out of my weapon..." but no, instead she says:

"You carry a Flashlight AND a Gun! I have to introduce you to my daughter!"

All three of our jaws just DROPPED. Completely the opposite reaction that we were expecting!

Also, had an opportunity to give one of PA Patriot's fliers to the server, 'cause he was curious about the gun laws in PA.

All in all, a very positive experience!

I lol'd.

Speaking for the single guys, I think it is reasonable to hope for a pro-gun honey who carries. Having a 2Asupportive mother-in-law would be highly... unexpected.

HAHA! I have the best of both worlds! My mother in-law was even a cop in Southern California in the 80's. Yet, she is still pro carry!
