Anyone here see the 'Our Opinion' section of the Potomac News today? The Editor's have done an about face and now support concealed carry on college campus!

They rationalize it differently than the lone citizen-student protecting a class from an attacker. They use the very rationale arguement that if the Commonwealth deems fit to permit a person to carry concealed than that citizen-student should also be allowed to carry concealed into a classroom.

That's awesome news considering that just a few months ago they we're calling for heavy gun restriction including the VA Tech restrictions.

It's outstanding that they've seen the light and done so in a public forum. My hats off!

If only more peoplefelt that way. Considering all the assaults both on and right outside of NOVA campuses, I encourage my wife to carry with her. I would rather see her expelled than be attacked by a BG. She canalways find another school to go to. She is a CHP holder and I know that she is responsible enough to know when and when not to use her firearm.

This is shocking. Usually the Potomac News is VERY liberal. They are pro illegal immigration and usually pro socialist programs. Glad to hear they are/have changed a bit.:celebrate
