I turned in my application today to the prothonotary's office. Just a little advice for those who have not yet applied. Get your article in the paper before you get fingerprinted. You only have 30 days to turn in your application after being fingerprinted and you can not turn in your application until ten (10) days after your article is in the paper. In my case, I got fingerprinted on a Monday and after fingerprinting, I went to the local paper to run the ad. Being a Monday, it was too late to run in that weeks paper, so I had to wait until the following Wednesday for it to run. After that I needed to wait ten days before presenting my application to the prothonotary. Due to the way I did the process, I had to waita total of 19 days before my application could be presented, leaving only asix weekday window for me to get my application in. If I'd have thought about it before hand, I'd have started my newspaper article two weeks prior to fingerprinting to allow more time to get the application in. Good thing I didn't have the flu or an accident or I may have went past the deadline and would have needed to spend the $69 again for fingerprinting.
Time will tell now......
