Seriously, if I could get it in .40, I would go to the trouble of getting it as an SBR.

Well, I have the next best thing...

Mine's in .40S&W, and semi-auto naturally, but I'd say it's worth it for the $300 and a simple 4473 to purchase. Weighs in at less than 4lb... which makes it very portable *cough cough* yet does nothing for the recoil...

The one in the video does look interesting though... as does the sales rep's muzzle control while trying to fold it up.

Is a concealed carry permit required to purchase one? Is its essential nature as a firearm concealed or clear while folded?

The SU-16 is on my list, albeit on the bottom. I'm still working to fill out the Soviet arm of my "assault weapons" collection, though that should be complete after next weekend's Harrisburg gun show, then I'm moving on to more oddball "assault weapons" like the Calico Liberty. Hopefully I'll get to finish my list before the impending next AWB...

I think if you bought it from them it would have to be federally registered as a Short Barreled Rifle.

It kind of reminds me of that blue one, the bad little kid had on one of the RoboCop movies....remember?..The one that folded.

I beleive you mean "Is a concealed carry permit required to carry one". I don't think there are a whole lot of places that require to to have a concealed weapon permit to simply purchase a gun, as that would be a gross violation of the second amendment.

And it would be an SBR in most states, so it would not count as a pistol (with exception to those states that classify pistols by overalllength). That means that if you have a state that only requires a permit to conceal a pistol, then you could actually carry that concealed without a permit.

I know I'm off topic here, because I think the core of your question is whether this SBR would be considered "concealed" from a legal standpoint when folded. Again, that would depend on your state's definition of "concealed".

Sadly, SBRs are not legal in WA state, so I can't get one of these, regardless of how much I want one.

    That is a nice toy.
    Any idea regading the cost.
I wonder if they will offer it as aftermarket item (non FA) but as a SBR for all glocks.
If you think like a Statist, act like one, or back some, you've given up on freedom and have gone over to the dark side.
The easiest ex. but probably the most difficult to grasp for gun owners is that fool permission slip so many of you have, especially if you show it off with pride. You should recognize it as an embarrassment, an infringement, a travesty and an affront to a free person.

Ya just gotta see this one... a prototype that civilians probably won't ever be allowed to own, but it would be cool!

This would be a NFA weapon since they have added a stock and pistol grip to a handgun.

I would DEFINITELY buy one if they were available for sale.

    That thing was nice!!

CC permit would also be required since it is disguised when folded up.

Depends I don't think a CHP holder could legally carry it concealed in a Virginia public area because it is not a handgun.

Ya.... I would love to have one. That thing is great!! I have no idea why they will not market it.

It would be a NFA weapon so those with a criminal record would have a hard time getting one legally.
