You know it's sad when people that are suppose to be pro-gun are so short-sighted or misinformed that they can't support one's right to open carry.

For example, I posted information on a Michigan sportsman website http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10 (see thread open carry not just for hunting). And granted it's primarily about hunting and other outdoor activities but I posted in with an outdoor theme, hunting, hiking, etc. I could not believe the myths and BS spouted aboutopen carry. The first time they locked the thread because I asked for citations for their erroneous posts and they couldn't do it so they took their ball and went home. I posted it again and it was left up for a few days, but now has been moved to the comedy section, effectively burying it, and symbolically giving me the finger. Sad just sad. I will carry on the fight to educate and inform.

It's the old saying "You can lead the horse to watter,...".

Some people are just willfully ignorant. You presented the facts to them, and if they reject them there isn't much to do (they did the same thing to Jesus). The retired DNR mod over there even tried to use a case that was lost about the gun show. He just glossed over that the reason they lost was because it failed to fall under the protections of the First Amendment of the USC, not state preemption. It was a slight of hand.

Your latest attempt was a nice try, and the tie-in with hunting was IMHO quite significant.

Good job indeed. You can't help it when a site is full of idiots. If nothing else, you may have got one or two more people interested. Every person who is even just informed of the truth is a step in the right direction.
