So, while I'm waiting for my tax return (from LAST YEAR) to come in, I was thinking about the Mossberg 500 I plan on getting. (How's THAT for a use of tax dollars?)

Then I thought... "Hey, wouldn't it be great if you could mount a pistol on the pump?"

Does anyone know of anything like this?

I mean, I know you can get underbarrel shotguns/grenade launchers for AR-15/M-16s, and that's probably where I got the idea from.

Anyone ever hear of something like this, or am I going to have to fire up the CAD programs again?
    Why open carry? Because 1911 > 911.

Why not have under/over rifle/shotgun? That way it won't be 'restricted'....Hell, go with a select fire trigger system too , one trigger, flick a selector lever to select between shotgun/rifle

Never seen one but sounds like an interesting concept.

    Baikal makes a less "evil-looking" over-under shotgun/rifle:

    Also, Savage makes one:

    But are they repeaters?

I'm still mad at Rumsfeld for cancelling the Palladin artillery system.
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

Well yeah, there are over/unders but I think this is a little different kind of concept.

I believe the LeMat actually had a 20 ga shotgun barrel.

My dad has a double barrel 12 gauge with a .22 barrel nestled where the shotgun barrels meet. I will try to get a picture and post it.

As far as I know, it would be an SBR. With or without the other barrel, I don't believe it makes a difference.

But yes, I have thought of the same thing too. Like a 1911 where the backstrap attached to the rifle's reciever somehow so the slide could move freely. It would be a built in sidearm. A rather convienient idea. However, the added weight would screw up the handling of the rifle.

See, something like that, but in reverse.

Put a handgun barrel (carbine barrel?) on the forend of a longarm.
