how long does it take now in wayne county. how far in advance should you start renewal process before your permit expires.

Call the County Clerk, I would guess at least a month if not more. MCRGO site may have info on this.

As an aside I had a friend recently get his initial CPL in less then 3 weeks from Ingham County, that pretty fast.
