Tired of gun control advocates trying to punish honest gun owners because the big city politicians can't control crime?
Want your elected political representatives to understand how important your gun rights are to you and other people in your district?
Want to join with hundreds of other gun rights supporters and stand together to let the people in Harrisburg to see our passion for our right to keep and bear arms?
Then come to Harrisburg on Monday April 7, 2008 and join the "Second Amendment: Second to None" Rally starting at 9AM in the capitol rotunda!
The gun control groups and anti-gun politicians have been relentlessly pushing anti-gun bills, including weakening statewide preemption, which prevents a patchwork of local gun regulations across the commonwealth, a one-gun-per-month gun rationing scheme, and "victimized twice" laws that would punish gun owners who fail to report a lost or stolen firearm to the police within a certain timeframe. We must show the politicians in Harrisburg that gun owners in Pennsylvania are serious about ensuring these "feel-good" proposals are not enacted into law.
In addition to the necessity of standing up to useless gun laws that will only punish law-abiding gun owners, and not criminals, we also must push our own bills, including a "Katrina Bill," which will prevent confiscation of firearms during a state of emergency, and "Castle Doctrine" which affirms your right to defend yourself and your family against the very criminals anti-gunners are unable to control.
The pro-gun majority in the legislature is under increasing political pressure to cave into anti-gun demands, and we know we can count on Governor Rendell to sign any gun control bill placed on his desk. Please join your fellow gun owners in standing up for our second amendment rights, and our rights under Article 1 Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution, wherein it states "the right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be questioned." Making sure those words actually mean something requires all of us, including you.
The time for talk is over, the time for action is April 7th, 2008. Will you take action?
