As many in this area are well aware, the Washington Compost (aka Pravda on the Potomac) has a well-known history of racist, biased, and draconian reporting and editorializing. I can relate specific stories and copy to back up this assessment.

However, I must say that this article catches me agape in that it actually does a reasonable job of approaching fairness and objectivity. What's going on over their in red square? Have The Washington Times crew migrated to the Compost?

peter nap wrote: In the article there is a reference to a WaPo poll:
That position would seem popular. A Washington Post poll shows that 72 percent of the public believes the Constitution provides an individual right, but respondents were evenly split on whether it is more important to protect the rights of Americans to own guns or to control gun ownership.

Nearly 60 percent said they would support the kind of law in question.
Amazingly enough, the hyperlink takes you to an overview of the WaPo organization instead of trhe poll. There is no way for anyone to check on just how nearly "nearly 60 percent" is to that actual number. 50% is "nearly" 60 percent, as is 40% and 30% or 70% or 80%.

It's strange that they cite the exact percentage of poll responders who "believe[] the Constitution provides an individual right" but obfuscate the percentage who support the DC handgun ban law.

OK, it's not strange at all. It's a standard tactic when you are losing any debate.

    stay safe.

A fact based un-biased article. Something Joanne Kimberslime and the Pile-It couldn't do.

Hmm, I wonder if they are too scared to incite public outcry over this, with it happening today?
    Why open carry? Because 1911 > 911.
