Took some time, but I finally managed to plunge into a nice carry gun. I picked up a Sig 229R in .40 Caliber.

Went shooting for the first time the other day, and after 3 or 4 tries was able to draw from the holster and hit a target dead on at 20-25 feet or so. Made me a very happy sig owner. I'm guessing it won't be the last one I buy.

Congratulations!

I have a Sig P228 and love it (when my fiancee lets me use it :?). I definitely see more Sigs in my future - probably one for her so I can have mine back.

Nice choice, it's hard to go wrong with a Sig.
My Great Uncle has a 229 and is quite pleased with it. Unfortunately, I've never fired it. His is in "evil" black, and I must say that the dual black/silver tone really classes it up .
