my ccp is valid in VA (i am a Florida resident)

and i think i know the answer already but im just double checking

when seeing if open carry in restaraunts in VA is legal (it says it is required) it means i have to have my weapon in plain sight correct?

also i can carry my weapon in plain sight in public correct?

The answers are Yes and Yes.

Has to be in plain sight (see this thread for photos - http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum54/8726.html )

Yes you can where it is legal to (not in schools, churches or state parks, but concealed in st. parks is ok)

What part will you be in? May I assume (by your username) that you're in the military?

You will find Virginia to be quite gun-friendly and receptive of open carry. Please enjoy your visit.

    And spend lots of cash!

In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

    Staff Sergeant DeMattia,
You didn't say which part of the state you're in now, but if you're in the Tidewater area, we're having a dinner meeting tonight at 1900 at the County Grill in York County. Check out our thread for directions if you're interested. We'd be pleased to have you. Going out with a group is always easier for first timers down here.

SSGDeMattiaYG as I just was in NOVA last week, and OC'ed 98% of the time its easy as I only had one problem and that was a young lady to pointed out my gun and it made me feel uneasy, but just remember to just relax and don't worry about OC'ing .
