So looks like I am going to the Bremerton Symphony on Saturday night. But now I find out that it is at Bremerton High School, so based on RCW 9.41.280, I have to go unarmed (can't even lock it in the car if parking on school grounds). Seems overly broad that this law won't allow for carry when the building is not being used for school purposes. Similarly, when Kitsap county holds public meetings up here in the north end, they generally do it at the Jr. High, so no carry then either (and some of these meetings get heated enough that I refuse to go if I can't be armed). The law says it applies to other facilities that are being used exclusively for school activities, but apparently not the other way around (schools being used exclusively for non-school activities).
