All,

One final reminder that the Utah GOP and Democrat caucuses are this evening at 7:00 pm.

A couple of generally anti-RKBA groups are quite well organized and motivated this year to get their people elected as delegates. If that happens, we could be in for a couple of VERY difficult years. PLEASE, attend your caucus meeting this evening and either seek a delegate position (in most cases county delegate is more important than State delegate, but a few legislators will be nominated in State convention rather than county convention), or support pro-RKBA neighbors who will vote against anti-RKBA candidates. Take a couple of neighbors with you to support you in these efforts, and encourage family and friends in other precincts across the State to attend their meetings this evening.

You can find the location of the Republican caucuses by going to http://home.utgop.org/page.php then going toward the bottom of the page to find your county. From there, look on the county page for caucus location information.

Remember, that in an election year in Utah, EVERYONE "supports the 2nd amendment." So if you are at all in doubt about where someone REALLY stands on your RKBA, ask a couple of questions in a polite and pleasant manner. I suggest the following:

"Do you believe we should be allowed to carry our firearms on the campuses of State run colleges and universities?"

"Do you believe teachers and other adults should be allowed to carry their legal firearms into primary and secondary schools?"

"Do you believe employees should be at risk of being fired for keeping a legal firearm locked in their private car during the work day?"

"Do you think the current list of locations in Utah where a person cannot legally carry a firearm needs to be expanded, and if so, what locations should be off limits that are not?"

Try to avoid attacking any candidates for delegate lest they get a sympathy vote. And don't grill too much. Two or three questions along the lines of those above should give you a very good idea of where a particular delegate really stands.

If you live in the district of Sens. Waddoups, Buttars, or Madsen, or Reps. Oda or Sandstrom be sure to ask directly whether delegate candidates support or oppose the re-election of these men who have stood firm in defense of our RKBA. Any delegate candidate who opposes re-electing these men needs to be opposed.

Similarly, if you live in the district of Sens. Valentine or Bramble, Speaker Curtis, or Reps Urquhart (seeking the senate seat vacated by the retirement of Sen. Hickman) or Litvack be sure that any potential delegates will support a challenger rather than these 5 men who have so consistently attacked our RKBA.

If you have family or friends livingin any of the above districts, be sure to encourage them to attend their meetings this evening to support our friends and oppose those who have attacked or undermined our RKBA.

Charles
