I've been in touch with JPierce about the LA Times reporter doing interviews with the OC community, and it looks like we've been tapped! He's based in Denver and will be getting in touch with me in the next day or so.

So, we need a show of support! As soon as I get details about dates and times I'll post them here, but if people in the Front-Range-ish area could start thinking about it and post here if they'd like to come, I'd like to get a good sized group together to meet up with us. Please post here if you'd like to come along!

OK, we've got date and time!

This Monday, April 7th, at 5:00pm, at the Starbucks in Northglenn located at 1171 W 120th Ave # B, Northglenn, CO. This is just off of I-25 heading north out of Denver (exit 223), so it's very easy for people coming in from out of town to find.

If you think you can make it, just let me know so I can tell our interviewer how many we think will be coming. Thanks again, all, for the interest!

You guys should show a little more solidarity! I understand being skeptical of the press, but if one member of the board is going it can only be a bad thing if others stay away.

+1 Marshaul, JP put this together for us and we should take full advantage of it. Understandably some folks have work or whatever. Aren't we looking for acceptance? Public media being slanted is a factor, but we are still OC. Making the public aware of our place in society is a necessary step toward acceptance. With all of the negative press, a little good can go a long way!
Here comes the guilt trip:
I don't know about you, but I'm PROUD of my U.S. and State Constitution. I think that by doing this appearance/interview is of the utmost importance toward making our voices heard and not doing so would be a great disservice to our Founding Fathers and to what they believed in.
Get off your asses people! Sitting there behind a computer and playing armchair quarterback isn't going to advance our cause one iota!!!
My only regret is that I didn't order a OCDO shirt to wear.
Monday, 1700, Starbucks in Northglenn! I'll be there!!!
I'm the fat bald dude with a goatee and driving a green Wrangler.

Sounds good, all! I was worried about picking a time a bit too early for the working world, but I didn't want to push it back so far the interviewer couldn't make it with heading to Utah for the next batch of OCers.

I'll be the guy with the beard, the boots, and the cowboy hat!

Yes, I checked the Adams County code and there is no mention of firearms. Strangely enough, there are quite a few about stripclubs, porn theaters, and massage parlors...go figure...
As far as Northglenn is concerned, it's the usual fare: No display or flourishing in a calculated manner to cause alarm. In other words, when getting a happy ending at one of Adams County's numerous massage parlors, you're not allowed to wave your 1911 around yelling "Smear on more peanut butter!!! YEE HAW!!!"
Knowing this, I'll try to refrain...heh...

Hate to be a hypocrite, but I got called into work to cover for a sick coworker. I tried to find other coverage, but no one wanted to play so I got stuck with it.
Sorry guys, I wanted to go to this so bad I could taste it.
