Just joined the site. I am looking for information on OC in Michigan. I have surfed the net found some info but not as in depth as I'd like. This site came up in a google search and I thought you guys might be able to help Is there a specific law that states OC is ok in Michigan if I were to get stoped by an out of the loop l.e.o is there something I can quote to show I am not breaking any laws. I appreciate you guys taking the time to help a noob out thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard jdoc,

I'm from Washington ( the state, not Rome on the Potomac) and don't know anything much about Michigan's OC laws. It's probably like WA in that there's no law saying you can OC but no law saying you can't. The way we in WA have OC locked in is 1st by the WA Constitution, then by Supreme Court (WA) cases. I would look in those areas. Oh, there's a third thing we have to do, as a practical matter; that's defeat the faulty reasoning cops do in interpreting phrasing like "actions which warrant alarm" into "causes alarm". We are finally getting some of the less informed cops straightened out, although "we" is mostly "them" who preceded me in OC as I'm pretty new at this.

I would expect a good response in the next few days. After all, this is what we do.
