Looking over that data I think that 2 things are very obvious:

1) This "research" is not nearly as random as the statisticians would like it to be given certain clusters

2) The media has done a good job getting buzz words out there and in misinforming the public about firearms in general

How do you answer the first question ("What would cause you to buy a gun for defense? (check all that apply.)") when you already own, oh, 20 of them?

I noticed that "Because it is a day ending in "Y" and I just felt like it" was not one of the survey options. :p Or as my fiancee terms it, my "oohh, I don't have one of those yet" syndrome.

I just checked everything except "Nothing would make me want to buy a gun".
