I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

Ghandi - In favor of firearms!

I'll turn in my guns - if you pay for my bodyguards...

    Guns prevent victims.

Keep criminals safe - oppose citizen firearms!

And the truly liberal ones, too. The ones who believe in economic as well as social freedom. It's too bad that the word "liberal" has gotten hijacked by the socialist-leaning elements of the US polity.

The GIMP is a great piece of software I've been using it and occasionally hacking on it for years. All of my photo editing is done with it. It's not a full replacement for Photoshop, but it does 95% of what PS does, which is 200% of what most non-professionals need.

The GIMP has a tie with Utah, as well. One of the two original developers was a guy named Spencer Kimball, great-grandson of Spencer W. Kimball. He's now employed by Google. I've met him a couple of times. Bright guy.
