Does anyone know where the USSC Justice (in the Heller case) get the law (or so he said) that there was no carry allowed in the marketplace in colonial times?

Or just as valuable, how about accurate information from those same times about any restrictions (or requirements) regarding carrying arms?

I just re-read the transcripts and it was Chief Justice Roberts that suggested that during those times they couldn't be brought into the marketplace, etc.. I can find no gun law or informationanywhere that confirms that but I was able to find some local restrictions with regards to discharging the weapons in public.

However,in fact, I found a lot more info on a requirement to carry in many locations than anything else.. A ten shilling fine for not having weapons and ammunition in church on Sundays...

To the extent that it was an un-rebutted assertion by his opponent, indeed.
