So last week I attended an OC dinner as my FIRST OC outing, which was a great confidence booster. Wed. through Sat. I was OC during some minor errands (getting the mail, getting gas, etc...), but I feel my first true OC experience came yesterday at the forum favorite testing grounds, Wal-Mart.

I now join the ranks of OCers who are proud to tell about everything that happened during my outing! ...i.e., nothing...

Most people never see it. There was an old man in an electric wheelchair who  (not quite :what when he saw it, I was watching his reflection in the frozen foods case...

Nobody said a word to me, and it was a very busy afternoon at Wally world, parking lot full, alomst every aisle full of shoppers.

Reading about the non-encounters of OCers is one thing, but once you get out there and do it yourself, it really helps getting over the initial nervousness that most first time OCers feel (at least I did).

It also makes me a little sad to realize how many great victims are out there. People who are completely oblivious to everything around them...

Sometimes I wounder if the sheeple will ever "get it".......Glad to hear about your good experience, I draw allot of encouragement from this forum because here in north Dakota (even though they hand out ccw's like candy) I seem to be the only one who OC's.
