Well after a long thought and a lot of legal reading I have reached the conclusion that I will Open carry When I can.

I sent a E-mail to the MSP and this is what they said.

Mr. S,

Open carry of a firearm is legal in Michigan (except in pistol free zones). Sincerely,

I dont want to push the can I carry in non CPL zones.

I Will feel safe riding my bike and and going for walks.

I just have to ask
Do mall's (Girlfriend likes to go) and City Parks count as No gun zones?

MCL750.234d Does not say they are.

You can open carry in a mall, unless it is posted that you cannot or if you are asked not to by management.

You can open carry in city parks, regardless of any city ordinance there may be.

Just thought about this. Is there any law about carrying a second mag ?

P.s. Doug

I think I will just carry my Glock 23. My sig cost to much for that.

You can carry additional mags, no law against how many guns you can carry at once or how many rounds you can have.
