I'm in Vegas for a convention and made a point of staying Sunday night at The Silverton Casino Lodge because it happens to be attached to a 165,000 sq. ft. Bass Pro Shops and wanted to do some shopping this AM before heading over to the convention.

I was amused/delighted when I went up to the 2nd floor where the gun department is located because right behind and parallel to the sales counters are fully enclosed pistol and rifle range lanes.

Sadly, I was not carrying a weapon to shoot, nor was I seriously considering anything they had for sale so I didn't partake but I do feel compelled to report this novelty as it's something I've not before seen in any store of this type (Cabelas, Bass Pro, Sportsman's Warehouse, etc.) I presume it's there to facilitate in-store firearms training and customer evalulation but it also appeared that anyone could drop in and shoot with their own weapons as well.

$10 for 1/2 hour, open Mon-Sat 12-8 and Sun 10-5. Pretty cool!

Yeah I saw that a few months back as well. However, it is pretty pricey, and I have American Shooters closer to me which is less. IF A.S. wasnt open on Sundays, I would head on down to Bass though to try it out.

I think just for novelty's sake I'll have to shoot there once...

What are the good indoor ranges in town? Back when I was living in LV a few years ago I didn't go shooting once.

I've only used American Shooters in Henderson for myself. I also go to the Metro range with my LEO friends.

One of these days I want to go out and try the Desert Lakes range in Boulder City. Just have a hard time finding the spare time to do it.
