    Tomahawk??

What exactly is the purpose? We are all aware of the horrible things that happened in the past. I am also aware the the North and South took up arms against each other too. I am not too worried history like this will be repeated.

Did you actually want to talk about them or just remind us that they existed? :?

    Sometimes you worry me..... :P

I believe he wishes to carry out George Santayna's prophecy. In this, he is correct.

In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

    Si vis pacem, para bellum.

LEO 229, I think I share in some of your puzzlement about this. I agree that yes, these guys enacted gun control... but the linked page doesn't really discuss in detail how there was a cause-effect relationship. It basically describes how bad these guys were, and then at the bottom lists the dates they enacted some form of gun control. Now, if the page claimed to be a "Evil Dictator Hall of Fame", I could go along with that... but I don't see how the gun control leap is made. Sorry.

It's remarkably simple. They disarmed their victims, and slaughtered them. If you know you're going to die, you normally decide it's best to kill as many of your attackers as possible. You can't do that so well if you're not armed, and most of the victims of the mass murderers in the link had no sufficent means of defense.
As far as I know, in all or most of those cases, they first established that gun ownership was punishable with death, then killed their victims.
Answer every question about open carry in Michigan you ever had with one convenient and free book- http://libertyisforeveryone.com/open-carry-resources/

The complete and utter truth can be challenged from every direction and it will always hold up. Accordingly there are few greater displays of illegitimacy than to attempt to impede free thought and communication.

See, that's what quoting out-of-context will do to ya.

I literally meant "see". If a page purports to be about a certain topic, it shouldn't really be about a related concept and then rely on peoples' politics and biases to arrive at the intended concept. Here it essentially says "Ooo, let's talk about all the evil things dictators did oh and they passed gun control at some point beforehand." If the page creator wanted to talk about how gun control causes genocide, he should have... talked about it, then. As it stands right now, all it does is waste the time of people who already understand the no guns equal genocide equation, and does nothing to inform those who don't.
