What a piece of ****. This only serves to further cement my views on him. Any person who won't wear an American Flag pin or put their hand over their heart during the National Anthem needs to LEAVE our ******* country, not LEAD it.

I'm no fan of Obama, but don't take the "facts" in that video at face value. I think there's plenty in Obama's voting record and speeches to tell me he's not the kind of president I want, but I really hate to see this kind of blatant propaganda, on any side of any debate.

Now now now. I have to counsel you on your usage of profanity on the forum.

If you must use profanity...please use it properly...mmmkay?

The word "*******" is perhaps one of the most versatile words in the English language and it is a very common mistake to misuse it.

In your sentence: "during the National Anthem needs to LEAVE our ******* country, not LEAD it." the word ******* is an adjective modifying thenoun "nation" thereby implying that the country is itself *******. While in many ways we will not discuss here that may be true, I believe that was not the intent of your sentence.

A more grammatically correct sentence would be "during the National Anthem needs to ******* LEAVE ourcountry, not LEAD it." where the extremely versatile word ******* assumes it's other role as anadverb modifying the word "leave",thereby not insulting ournation and expediting his departure.

I turned off the video as soon as they mentioned his father's religion like it was a curse word, having already noticed that they emphasize his middle name ina very childish, right-wing manner, the same way that Ann Coulter does in between hormone shots and shaving her adam's apple.

    As for this BS:
Any person who won't wear an American Flag pin ...

I wasn't aware that we are now required to wear flag pins in public like good little party members.

This video is just hysterical propaganda. Honstly, folks, the so-called "conservatives" are every bit as bad as the "liberal media" these days. Worse, even.

Thank you, BobCav. I stand corrected.

Anyone who won't put their hand over their heart during our National Anthem needs to ******* leave our country, not lead it.

I edited my previous statement for you, too, Tomahawk. I understand where you're coming from. A pin doesnt make anyone more or less American, it's just that I personally find it piss poor that the man won't wear the flag of the country he wants to lead.

Um, forgive me if perhaps I am unfit to share this country with you, but I'm not wearing an American flag pin right now, and I find the practice tacky and patronizing in politicians. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Barack Obama, but these are just distractions.

    Did you hear about this????

RonPaul has a name that sounds kind of like RuPaul, a drag queen!

And, and, and Mike HuckFinnabee has a name that sounds kind of like a racist child!

Oh, and we can't forget Fred "Libby" Thompson, who must be like the Old West prostitute with the same last name http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libby_Thompson

All of the candidates suck. I'm writing in Ron Paul and desperately trying to come up with the money to buy some evil assault rifles and hi-cap magazines because whoever ends up President none of them will refuse to sign another unconstitutional limit on my RKBA.

well, they tried neat little red armbands a few years ago, but found the pins to be more tasteful

personally, I will sometimes stand for the National Anthem, but I don't wear an American flag pin, and I don't stand and recite the pledge of allegiance. why? because America has become beside itself with blind patriotism. is that a bad thing? well yes and no. No, because everyone should be proud of where they come from, and yes, because blind patriotism means just that , BLIND. It is that same blindness that allowed so much infringement on our 2nd ammendment rights, our first ammendment rights, and teh many other rights that we supposedly have. That patriotism, that drives a man to make a comment like Illinoins just made is the same patriotism that has blinded us to the effects of laws like the patriot acts, and REAL ID.It is that same blind patriotism that will drive most everyone to lay down their arms, despite of the fact that the constitution recognizes our right to keep and bear arms, when the government saysfor us to. It is that same blind patriotism that allows us to watch as teh FED perpetuates acts against us that wouldhave made the founding fathers cringe, and it is that same patriotism that has allowed us to get so terribly close to teh police state that I fear we may soon become. you can pedge your allegiane to the flag, or to teh government, or to Bush, or to Santa Clause, but I believe taht I'll reserve my allegiance to the constitution, the document taht is supposed to guide this country.

oh and back on topic: Obama, just like Clinton and McCain are liberal idiots. I'll eb writing in Ron Paul.

It's not a matter of blind patriotism to stand with your hand over your heart during the National Anthem. It's simply a gesture of of respect and appreciation for the country you live in and, more importantly, the people who have died to give you the right to choose whether you sit down or stand up. They chose to stand up for our freedoms, so I choose to stand up in memory of them during the national anthem.

Personally, I respect The Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, and the American Flag because they are memories of what this country used to stand for. I personally think that the lack of respect for either of these is indicative of a lack of respect for our Constitution. It is people who would rather burn the flag than respect it who want to turn America into a socialist extension of the European union. I'm not saying that respecting the symbols means that you automatically respect the Constitution, for many it is simply a show. But I do see disrespect of our American symbols as coming out of the closet if you will and publicly disregarding the American principals that our symbols stand for.

As I said, I have no problem with the national anthem, or Americas fighting force. my problem is with the rest. too often in this country, we swear oaths of allegiance to the government of this country, when in reality, the only oath that anyone should take in these United States is :

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic

The pledge of allegence is not an oath to the government. It is a oath to "the republic for which it stands" and to "liberty and justice". Not to the Bush Administration.

I will say the pledge of allegence, because I do support the republic that the flag stands for, and I oppose the democracy/dictatorship that has taken it as their symbol. Yes, writing "executive orders" to avoid having to deal with congress or the constitution is what you call a "dictatorship".

Absolutly right! Get the hell out of our country, Mr. Hussien. Your policy of concentrating on the issues instead of your image is completly out of line. Until you stop telling us what your plans are and start wraping yourself in a flag while singing God Bless America, I will not be voting for you.
