Thigh rig

Just curious if anyone ever carries in a thigh rig. I personally dont but at times a full size 1911, mags, light,cellphone, and god knows what else tends toeatup my belt space..rapidly(though i have never carried OC that way).

Any thoughts....good/bad/indifferent?

I've thought about it but haven't done it. I like belt carry and only have my gun and ammo on the belt anyhow. For my 1911 I may get a GI shoulder rig and carry that way though, as the weight of the gun on my hip messes with me sometimes for some odd reason. Suspenders would probably help too...

Heck, it's legal and if you are comfortable with it, I would go for it. May attract a little more attention though.

We have a coule of guys who show up to meets with full thigh rigs, it really gets people's attention! Not sure if that is their daily carry though...
