Home Invasion Suspects Pose As Utility Workers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Philadelphia police are investigating a home invasion in the city's Olney suspect where the suspects were posing as utility workers.

Authorities said the men, posing as Philadelphia Gas Works employees, kicked in a door to a home in the 5200 block of N. 9th Street Thursday morning.

The suspects allegedly tied up two male occupants of the homes and fled with $1400 in cash and paperwork.

The victims were not injured.

The first suspect was described as a black male with a light complexion wearing a blue jumpsuit, orange vest and orange hard-hat. The other suspect was described as a black male wearing blue clothing, carrying a black briefcase.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Philadelphia police.
