Okay!

Here's another one told by the same bozo. I go shooting out near Sloan, ya know the area where it's obvious by all the brass and trash that people have been shooting for about 100 years, I mentioned this to Ardy and he said "No, you can't shoot there anymore, the rangers have been confiscating guns from people shooting there, I saw it happen to some people." I'm calling BS on this one too, I even asked the LEO about it and he said as long as it's away from people and buildings, go ahead.

Anybody know anything about this one? What is to be done about poor misinformed Ardy. I'm clearly not educated enough to educate him or his boss:?

Shane.

Shane,

It's 1000 yard from any buiding or habitat area.

I don't live in Nevada, but I have great interest in what goes on there. My brother lives in Northern Nevada and I am eventually going to be moving that way.

Recently, I received my nonresident CCW, which I plan to change to "resident'>

I would think that any new laws banning open carry would be illegal since the statewide pre-emption law is in effect.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Any local laws banning open carry (i.e. possession, clearly preempted) would be void. Including any that are already on the books. If the state legislature of federal government writes one... But other than that, don't worry. :)

Did anyone ever agree to meet on Water Street to spend some time OC'ing? I'd like to join you if you set a time & date. Cat Doc

I'm game any time. I work M-F 7-5 or so, and have 4 kids... but barring that stuff, I'll do my best to make it when it's convenient for everyone else. There are a few decent restaurants down there. I'll do some calling this week and see if we can find one that won't throw us out. :)

UPDATE:

Since I started this thread I have been OC'ing just about everywhere that I have gone, Lowes, WalMart, Walgreens, Sports Authority, Aaron Brothers, Misc gas stations, etc... and haven't had one problem. I have not crossed paths with any LEO's that I know of and I don't know if anyone has called the cops on me or not, but I've not had a problem at all.

A worker in the garden section of Lowes was eyeballing me pretty good the other day but nothing came of it.

That may be, but they can't go around misinforming the public like that.
